Our group consists of engineering researchers from undergraduate to PhD level who focus on analyze distributed and alternative energy systems for the built environment.
Site-specific means that we think about the unique aspects of a particular place or facility and how they relate to energy demands and energy conversion options; the systems view means that we identify interconnected elements and study their relationships to gain a better understanding of performance.
We are concerned with sustainability in everything we do. Energy use impacts are investigated in three broad categories: energy performance, environmental impacts, and economics.
We use mathematical modeling, computer simulations, case studies, and experimental data analysis to perform our work.
