Presenter:

Richard Reeder is with Van Boerum and Frank Associates, a multi discipline, engineering firm with offices in Salt Lake City, St George, Logan and Tempe, Arizona.  He is a Vice President at Van Boerum and Frank Associates and has more than 30 years of mechanical engineering experience.  Mr. Reeder is licensed in most of the Intermountain states and New York.

Mr. Reeder leads the designs for ammonia refrigeration, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, ground source heat pumps and plumbing systems.  His projects include hospitals, health clinics, educational facilities, prisons and recreational facilities.  Nevertheless, one of his favorite types of projects to work on are ice rinks.   

Richard Reeder is a well-known ice rink engineer and has designed ice rink projects all over the Country.  He was the refrigeration engineer for the many of the ice venues built for the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, including facilities for curling, hockey, and speed skating.  He was also the refrigeration engineer for the Park City Bobsled for the 2002 Winter Olympics and the Whistler Bobsled built for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.  Most of his ice rink designs are centered around ammonia refrigeration systems.
