Come learn about how energy use in the Salt Lake Valley affects the environment, and how the Site-Specific Energy Systems group is analyzing sustainable solutions, along with other ME researchers and interdisciplinary researchers. We are modifying building energy models to give better environmental information, simplifying computer models for distributed energy resources, and investigating conventional (solar PV) and unconventional (salinity gradient energy recovery) renewable energy sources.
